This article is part of an incipient line of research that is developed within the framework of the Institute of Popular Culture and National Thought of the National University of the West regarding public policies linked to the recognition of the sovereignty of the territory of the Malvinas Islands of the South Atlantic and the Argentinian Sea. In the current context, it is considered appropriate to reflect and make these issues visible to contribute to the debate on the geopolitics of power, sovereignty and the strengthening of national consciousness from a perspective of unrestricted defense of human rights, engaging the university community, in a lively way, in national, regional and local problems. Within this framework, we allow ourselves to share some of the progress we have made.
